Nosso artigo pretendeu comentar as teses da psicologia de Schopenhauer, a saber, “a estrita distinção entre vontade e conhecimento e a primazia da primeira”, contidas nos Complementos ao Livro Quarto de O Mundo como Vontade e Representação, em seu capítulo 41, intitulado “Sobre a morte e sua relação com o caráter indestrutível de nosso ser em si.” O comentário visou apresentar algumas passagens dos Complementos que asseguram a distinção entre vontade e intelecto, no intuito de fornecer dados que evitem a confusão, a que muitos leitores de Schopenhauer são acometidos, ao confundirem a vontade com o seu fenômeno, a saber, a vontade humana.
Resumo Inglês:
Our paper aims to review the theories of the psychology of Schopenhauer, namely, "strict distinction between will and knowledge and the primacy of the first", contained in the Book Four of The World as Will and Representation, in Chapter 41, entitled "on Death and its relationship with the indestructible character of our being itself." The review aimed to present some of the passages that ensure the distinction between Will and Intellect in order to provide data to avoid confusion, that many readers Schopenhauer are affected by confounding, the Will with its phenomenon, namely the human will.
