O presente artigo visa explorar a revolução na relação entre teoria e prática promovida por Marx. Isso é feito a partir da reconstituição de sua crítica à filosofia de Hegel, onde já se encontra uma concepção crítica dessa relação em que a necessidade de se focar no processo de constituição do objeto do conhecimento é enfatizada, mas que ainda o apreende de modo abstrato. Os textos de juventude de Marx demonstram as várias tentativas dele em encontrar um modo de abarcar esse objeto de forma mais consistente, o que será alcançado com a formulação do conceito de modo de produção, em A ideologia alemã, e plenamente desenvolvido com sua crítica ao fetichismo da mercadoria, em O Capital.

The current paper’s goal is to explore the conceptual revolution in the relation between theory and practice brought up by Marx. This is done through a reconstruction of his critique of Hegel’s philosophy, where we can already find a critical conception of this relationship in which the need to focus on the process of constitution of the object of knowledge is highlighted, but that still grasps it in an abstract manner. Marx’s youth texts show his various attempts in trying to find a way of approaching this object in a more consistent way, what will be finally reached with the formulation of the concept of mode of production, in The German Ideology, and fully developed in his criticism of the fetichism of the merchandise, in The Capital.
