No Brasil, o debate sobre a temática das drogas está centrado na proibição, aliada a isso tem a violência. Buscamos identificar as representações sociais de adolescentes sobre uso de drogas e violência, uma vez que eles estão imersos em uma sociedade em que o acesso a essas substâncias está cada vez mais facilitado e a violência tem sido naturalizada. Este estudo tem como referencial a Teoria das Representações Sociais utilizando a metodologia qualitativa. A análise dos dados foi realizada a partir dos pressupostos da análise de conteúdo. A droga aparece como algo negativo, além disso, relatam a convivência com as drogas lícitas e ilícitas, no círculo de amizades e família. Na associação entre drogas e violência, além da violência oriunda do tráfico, verificamos, também, as agressões associadas ao consumo de bebidas alcoólicas. Entendemos a relevância deste estudo quando nos deparamos com resultados que fornecem elementos para repensarmos a abordagem preventiva.

In Brazil, the debate on the issue of drugs is focused on the prohibition, allied to that, we have violence caused by its use or abuse and that derived from the trafficking. We sought to identify the social representations of teenagers about drug use and the violence, since they are immersed in a society where access to these substances it is increasingly facilitated and violence has been naturalized. This study has as reference the Theory of Social Representations using a qualitative methodology. Data analysis was carried out from the premises of content analysis. The drug appears as something negative and destructive, moreover, report living with the licit and illicit drugs that are present in their daily lives, in the circle of friends and family. In the association between drugs and violence, as well as violence coming from the traffic, we see also the aggression associated with alcohol consumption. We understand the relevance of this study when faced with results that give elements for rethinking the preventive.
