Reflexos do Concílio Vaticano II na Igreja Contemporânea

Diante das grandes transformações ocorridas no século XX, que colocaram em xeque o modelo eurocêntrico imperialista, colonialista e capitalista, o Papa João XXIII convocou o Concílio Vaticano II, considerado um marco na história da Igreja Católica devido às grandes mudanças que provocou dentro e fora da instituição. O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar os reflexos deste concílio na Igreja e na sociedade moderna. O estudo foi realizado por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, com abordagem qualitativa, apresentando informações buscadas em livros, artigos e demais materiais constantes em bases de dados cientificas, considerando os trabalhos disponíveis na íntegra, sem limitação de data ou idioma.

In view of the great transformations that took place in the 20th century, which called into question the Eurocentric, imperialist, colonialist and capitalist model, Pope John XXIII called the Second Vatican Council, which is considered a milestone in the history of the Catholic Church due to the great changes it has outside the institution. In this context, the objective of this study was to analyze the reflexes of this council in the church and in modern society. The study was carried out through a bibliographical research, with a qualitative approach, presenting information sought in books, articles and other materials contained in scientific databases, considering the works available in full, without limitation of date or language.
