Definem-se como Resíduos de Serviço de Saúde, resíduos resultantes de atividades exercidas por estabelecimento gerador. Através das RDCs, leis e das Resoluções pertinentes a este conhecimento, constatamos de como o meio ambiente é influenciado através dos resíduos de serviços de saúde. Tudo o que cerca o ser vivo, que o influencia e que é indispensável à sua sustentação. Estas condições incluem o solo, clima, recursos hídricos, ar, nutrientes e os outros organismos. O meio ambiente não é constituído apenas do meio físico e biológico, mas também do meio sócio-cultural e sua relação com os modelos de desenvolvimento adotados pelo homem. A Saúde do Trabalhador constitui uma área da Saúde Pública que tem como objetivo de estudo e intervenção as relações entre o trabalho e a saúde. Tem como objetivos a promoção e a proteção da saúde do trabalhador, por meio do desenvolvimento de ações de vigilância dos riscos presentes nos ambientes e condições de trabalho, dos agravos à saúde do trabalhador e a organização e prestação da assistência aos trabalhadores, compreendendo procedimentos de diagnóstico, tratamento e reabilitação de forma integrada e equânime no Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS).

Residues of Health Service is defined as the waste matter resulting from the activities carried out by the generating establishment. By means of RDCs, laws and relevant Resolutions to this knowledge, we had the opportunity to verify how the environment is affected by the residues of the health service. Everything surrounding the living beings, affecting them and which is indispensable to their sustenance. These conditions include soil, climate, water resources, the air, nutrients and other organisms. The environment is made not only of the physical and biological media but also of the sociocultural medium and its relation with the models of development adopted by the man. The health of the worker is an area of Public Health which among its as objectives of study and promotion the relation between work and health. It also has objectives the promotion of and the protection the worker´s health, through the development of actions of surveillance of the risks within the environment and the working conditions, the damages to the health of the worker and the organization and the provision of assistance to workers, comprising diagnostic procedures, integrated and unbiased treatment and rehabilitation within the Unified System of Health (SUS).
