Este artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre a formação acadêmica nos cursos de graduação, chamando a atenção para a responsabilidade pessoal do acadêmico em desenvolver sua autonomia como leitor e seu compromisso como formador de leitores, independentemente da forma como a literatura se apresenta no currÃculo escolar. Também menciona brevemente a defasagem do paradigma em que a estrutura curricular está organizada e a importância da concepção de literatura como arte e não como componente curricular, entre outros aspectos referentes ao ensino.

This article proposes a reflection on the undergraduate programs by calling attention to the personal responsibility of the undergraduate student in developing their autonomy as readers and their commitment to introducing reading to young students’ routine, regardless the way literature is presented in the school curriculum. It also briefly mentions the paradigm delay in which the curriculum structure is organized as well as the importance of the conception of literature as art and not as a curriculum component, among other aspects related to education.
