Com o presente artigo pretende-se refletir sobre alguns aspectos que consideramos primordiais para uma compreensão mais aprofundada da importância das ações afirmativas no enfrentamento da desigualdade racial no Brasil. Partimos do pressuposto de que a ação afirmativa constituiessencial para o enfrentamento dos efeitos perversos do racismo velado que arquitetou uma sociedade fundamentada pela hierarquização da raça branca, defendida pela elite brasileira como superior, sobre a raça negra, por ela menosprezada. Busca-se problematizar o recorte racial que marca a pobreza e a desigualdade no país, a política de branqueamento e a chamada democracia racial como aspectos da naturalização cotidiana do racismo.Busca-se, ainda, tecer considerações sobre o porquê da ação afirmativa constituir-se ponte para o fortalecimento de outra sociabilidade capaz de enfrentar o pensamento dominante que atende aos interesses de uma elite que se pretende manter nos espaços poder

This article intends to reflect on some aspects that we consider to be essential for a deeper understanding of the importance of affirmative actions in the fight against racial inequality in Brazil.. We start from the assumption that affirmative action, as well as the quotas that constitute its expression, are essential to face the perverse effects of veiled racism that created a society based on the hierarchy of the white race, defended by the Brazilian elite as superior, over the black race, despised by it. It seeks to problematize the racial profile that marks poverty and inequality in the country, the money laundering policy and the so-called racial democracy as aspects of the daily naturalization of racism, as well as making considerations about why affirmative action can constitute a bridge for the strengthening of another sociability capable of facing the dominant thought that serves the interests of an elite that intends to maintain itself in the spaces of power.KEYWORDS:Racial Inequality.
