O presente trabalho pretende discorrer sobre a possÃvel relação entre os romances de cavalaria
que surgem por volta do século XII na Europa e um tipo especÃfico de literatura produzido hoje,
conhecido como “romances rosasâ€, que tem como público as mulheres. Iremos refletir como o amor
cortês, presente nos romances medievais, reaparece nessa literatura produzida no século XXI com
histórias que são ambientadas na idade média.
The present work aims at discoursing about the possible relation between chivalric romance,
which emerges around the 12th century in Europe, and a specific kind of current literature, known as
“chick litâ€, which finds in women its audience. We are going to reflect upon how courtly love, which is
present at chivalric novels, reappears in this 21st century literature with stories set in the Middle Ages.
