The wood of Myrceugenia myrtoides Berg is described in its general and microscopic aspects. Quantitative data and photomicrographs of the anatomical structure are provided. The main characters observed, coincide with appearance predominant in the family Myrtaceae. For the identification of the species, the occurrence of simple perforation plates, radially extended ray-vascular scores, spiral thickenings in vessels, fibers with bordered scores, very small and solitary pores, and heterogeneous type I rays are noteworthy.
