AVALIAÇÃO DA APRENDIZAGEM: INSTRUMENTO DE CONTROLE OU DE MEDIAÇÃO?

O presente artigo foi escrito com base em uma pesquisa bibliográfica em livros e outros trabalhos com o tema da avaliação da aprendizagem e tem por objetivo realizar um estudo sobre avaliação e se ela está sendo utilizada como um instrumento de controle e coerção ou de mediação no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Será apresentado um breve contexto histórico e a explanação de conceitos importantes para a compreensão desse assunto. Faremos ainda uma comparação entre prova/exame e a avaliação da aprendizagem como mediadora na educação básica e na universidade. Veremos que a avaliação é utilizada basicamente para classificação e quantificação do conhecimento dos discentes e não como um instrumento para auxiliar a transformação da educação por meio da mediação do aprender e ensinar.
Resumo Inglês:
The present article was written based on a bibliographical research in books and other works on the subject of appraisal of learning and aims to conduct a study on evaluation and whether it is being used as an instrument of control and coercion or mediation in the process of teaching and learning. A brief historical context and the explanation of important concepts will be presented for the understanding of this subject. We will also make a comparison between test/exam and the evaluation of learning as a mediator in basic education and university. We will see that evaluation is used primarily for the classification and quantification of students knowledge and not as an instrument to aid the transformation of education through the mediation of learning and teaching.
