Este texto tem por objetivo apresentar a investigação sobre a teorização da categoria classes e grupos subalternos de Antonio Gramsci pelo Serviço social brasileiro nas últimas décadas. Apresenta os resultados da pesquisa bibliográfica realizada em publicações do Serviço Social,em que seus autores teorizam a categoria classes e grupos subalternos. Destaca os pontos de convergência e divergência nas teorizações e os apresentam a partir de dois eixos: a forma como teorizam a categoria e a superação da subalternidade. Finaliza apontando a importância desta categoria nos marcos do pensamento gramsciano e para o Serviço Social.
This text aims to present the investigation on the theorization of category classes and subaltern groups of Antonio Gramsci by the brazilian Social Work in the past decades. It presents the results of bibliographical research performed on Social Work publications, in which the authors theorize classes category and subaltern groups. It emphasizes points of convergence and divergence in the theorizations and the presents them from two forms: the way they theorize category and the overcoming of subalternity. It concludes by pointing out the importance of this category in the mark of the Gramscian thought and for Social Work.
