O artigo pretende primeiramente elucidar o contexto histórico dos contos; em seguida, verificar a maneira como os educadores utilizam os contos em sala de aula e se a criança consegue enfrentar e superar seu medo por meio deles. Para isso foram coletadas informações práticas e teóricas sobre o assunto, obtendo um entendimento sobre como os contos de fadas são utilizados em sala de aula e se eles trazem algum significado na vida das crianças.
The article aims to understand the historical context of faury tales, whether there is a way to use them in children`s education and whether the child can face and overcome their fear when using them. Theoretical and practical data on the subject were collected, achieving an understanding of how fairy tales are used in the classroom, and whether they give any meaning to children's lives. There is also the concept of fear and how it is seen in childhood.
