O artigo relaciona as novas circunstâncias da leitura, nos suportes em rede e na multiplicidade de mídias no ambiente virtual, com as distopias escritas do século XX, principalmente 1984, de George Orwell, e Neuromancer, de Willian Gibson. Seja na atual realidade da internet, seja nas ficções que projetam futuros sombrios, parece emergir ao sujeito, segundo este estudo, de um ambiente que ora oprime, ora se multifraciona, as complexidades do isolamento e da solidão existencial.
This article relates the new reading circumstances, in the network's supports and in the medias' multiplicity in the virtual environment, with the dystopias written in the 20th century, mostly 1984, of George Orwell and Neuromancer, of William Gibson. Either in the current Internet reality, either in the fictions that project shadowy futures, it seems to emerge to the person, according to this study, from an environment that sometimes oppresses, sometimes multifractionates, the isolation's complexity and the existential solitude.
