O Teorema de Pitágoras é um dos conceitos mais famosos e impactantes da Matemática, sendo fundamental tanto para a geometria quanto para a trigonometria. Neste artigo, será abordado a aplicabilidade do Teorema Pitagórico em diferentes contextos, desde a construção de edifícios até a resolução de problemas práticos, demonstrando como o Teorema de Pitágoras pode ser uma ferramenta indispensável para entender e solucionar questões do cotidiano. Foi utilizado como método a pesquisa bibliográfica, em um processo sistemático de busca e análise de informações e conhecimentos já existentes em livros, artigos, teses, dissertações e outros materiais bibliográficos. Em conclusão, fica evidente a importância do Teorema de Pitágoras na vida cotidiana, através do estudo do triângulo retângulo, se torna possível compreender e aplicar esse teorema em diversas situações práticas, desde a construção de edifícios até o cálculo de distâncias em mapas.

The Pythagorean Theorem is one of the most famous and impactful concepts in Mathematics, being fundamental for both geometry and trigonometry. In this article, the applicability of the Pythagorean Theorem in different contexts will be approached, from the construction of buildings to the resolution of practical problems, demonstrating how the Pythagorean Theorem can be an indispensable tool to understand and solve everyday issues. Bibliographical research was used as a method, in a systematic process of searching and analyzing information and knowledge already existing in books, articles, theses, dissertations and other bibliographic materials. In conclusion, the importance of the Pythagorean Theorem in everyday life is evident, through the study of the right triangle, it becomes possible to understand and apply this theorem in several practical situations, from the construction of buildings to the calculation of distances on maps.
