O presente artigo tem por objetivo apresentar resultados parciais de uma pesquisa realizada com jovens negras e negros do ensino médio, da rede pública estadual, na cidade de Petrópolis. O estudo objetivou compreender de que maneira se constituíam as trajetórias de sucesso destes estudantes. Contudo, ao longo da pesquisa questões relacionadas à necessidade da implementação de uma educação antirracista emergiram e despontaram como um caminho necessário para a garantia de direitos educacionais. Como metodologia foi utilizada a revisão bibliográfica de autores que discutem relações étnico-raciais e educação; a observação participante; e entrevistas com alunas e alunos negros e professoras que lecionam no colégio. A pesquisa teve como pilares teóricos autores que discutem questões raciais e racismo estrutural, como Munanga, Souza. As particularidades das juventudes que cursam o ensino médio são apresentadas e discutidas com base nos estudos de Dayrell, Dayrrel e Jesus.

This article aims to present the results of a survey carried out with young black men and women from high school, from the state public network, in the city of Petrópolis. The study aimed to understand how the successful trajectories of these students were constituted. However, throughout the research, issues related to the need to implement an anti-racist education emerged, and emerged as a necessary way to guarantee educational rights. As a methodology, a bibliographical review of authors who discuss ethnic-racial relations and education, participant observation; and interviews with black students and teachers who teach in the courses that composed the research were used. The research had as theoretical pillarsauthors who discuss racial issues and structural racism, such as Munanga, Souza. The particularities of young people who attend high school are presented and discussed based on studies by Dayrell, Dayrrel and Jesus.
