Este artigo procura identificar os efeitos da pandemia de COVID-19 nas empresas do Polo Empresarial Goiás, no município de Aparecida de Goiânia, incluindo quais medidas foram tomadas por estas empresas, o papel desempenhado pelo governo e pela direção do Polo frente à pandemia. A pesquisa caracteriza-se como uma investigação exploratória, descritiva, com abordagem quali-quantitativa. Foram aplicados questionários com questões fechadas a empresas do Polo e foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa, com questionário estruturado, junto aos diretores do Polo. Os resultados indicaram que houve um efeito negativo da pandemia na maioria das empresas pesquisadas. As medidas tomadas pelo governo como prorrogação de tributos, suspensão de contratos de trabalho, redução de jornadas e o programa PRONAMPE não abrangeram todas as empresas, e não foram eficientes para minimizar os efeitos da crise. Na visão das empresas, a direção do Polo poderia ter atuado de forma mais efetiva com iniciativas de medidas específicas para a crise e interlocução com outras entidades no intuito de trazer opções para enfrentamento da pandemia.

This paper seeks to identify the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in the companies of the Polo Empresarial Goiás, in the municipality of Aparecida de Goiânia, what measures were taken by these companies, the role played by the government and by the direction of the Polo in the face of the pandemic. The research is characterized as an exploratory, descriptive investigation, with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Questionnaires with closed questions were applied to companies of the Polo and a qualitative research was carried out, with a structured questionnaire, with the Polo's directors. The results indicated that there was a negative effect of the pandemic in most of the companies surveyed. The measures taken by the government, such as extending taxes, suspending employment contracts, reducing working hours and the PRONAMPE program, did not cover all companies, and were not effective in minimizing the effects of the crisis. From the companies’ perspective, the Polo's management could have acted more effectively with specific measures to face the crisis and could have interacted with other entities to bring options to face the pandemic.
