O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar se os "pesque e pague" na microrregião de Viçosa - MG tem contribuÃdo, como explicita a literatura, para o incremento de renda e emprego no meio rural. Conforme os resultados encontrados, pôde-se observar que na opinião dos turistas que demandam esse tipo de atrativo, o "pesque e pague" cumpre a sua função.
The objective of this study consists in the verification of the economic efectiviness of a touristc activity in the rural area of Viçosa - MG, in the sense of generating increase in income and employment in the rural sector. According to the results, it is possible to observe that, for the tourists that demand this attraction type, the reffered activity is useful and contributes to the regional economic development.
