O presente estudo objetiva investigar quais as práticas de gestão empregadas pelo pequeno produtor rural para o gerenciamento de sua propriedade, na cidade de Guaramirim/SC. A pesquisa considerou como pequeno produtor rural, aquele com propriedade média de até 25 hectares, que trabalha em regime familiar, têm na atividade rural sua principal fonte de renda, que obteve renda bruta familiar nos últimos 12 meses acima de 4.000,00 (quatro mil reais) e até 110.000,00 (cento e dez mil reais). Dentre vários aspectos investigados, constatou-se que 87% dos entrevistados atuam há mais de 20 anos na atividade rural, concentrados em uma faixa etária entre 48 a 69 anos de idade e que 59% das propriedades entrevistadas possuem computador. Dos entrevistados, 56% revelaram praticar a gestão administrativa da propriedade rural, relacionadas a controles financeiros, de comercialização, produção, manutenção da lavoura, recursos humanos, no entanto, 59% destes relataram que não fazem nenhum registro escrito sobre a gestão da propriedade.

The purpose this study is investigate the management practices used by small rural producers to manager their property in the city of Guaramirim / SC. The research considered how small farmer, one with average ownership of 25 hectares, which works in the family, have activity in their major source of rural income, which received gross family income in the last 12 months over 4.000.00 (four thousand reais) and up to 110,000.00 (one hundred and ten thousand reais). Among various aspects investigated, it was found that 87% of respondents working more than 20 years activity in rural, concentrated in an age group between 48 to 69 years of age and that 59% of the respondents have computer. Of the respondents, 56% proven practice the administration of rural property, related to financial controls, marketing, production, maintenance of the farming, human resources, perhaps 59% of them reported that did not make any written record of the property management.
