A esterilização é o processo que promove a eliminação ou destruição de todas as formas de microorganismos patógenos presentes. Desta forma o presente estudo aborda sobre o fluxo dos materiais odonto-médico-hospitalares no Centro de Material e Esterilização em Unidades Básicas de Saúde, do Município de Chapecó-SC, tendo como parâmetro as recomendações da Resolução de Diretoria Colegiada nº 50 da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária - ANVISA. O objetivo foi conhecer o fluxo de materiais na Central de Materiais e Esterilização nas Unidades Básicas de Saúde no município de Chapecó. Este estudo se caracterizou como uma pesquisa de campo, quanti-qualitativa e descritiva. Verificou-se uma carência quanto ao fluxo de materiais na área destinada a esterilização de materiais e ausência de barreira entre a área suja e área limpa. Das unidades pesquisadas todas utilizavam estufas e/ou autoclaves para o processo de esterilização e em apenas 8% da amostra o fluxo de materiais seguem as recomendações do órgão fiscalizador e regulamentador. Conclui-se que grande parte das UBS não está adequada ao fluxo correto dos materiais nas áreas destinadas à esterilização de matérias, principalmente pela estrutura física inadequada e pela falta de capacitação dos profissionais envolvidos no processo de esterilização atuantes junto ao Município, o que reforça a necessidade de educação continuada.

The sterilization is the process that promotes the elimination or destruction of all the forms of patógenos microorganisms gifts. In such a way the present study it approaches on the flow of the odonto-doctorhospital materials in the Center of Material and Sterilization in Basic Units of Health, of the City of Chapecó-SC, having as parameter the recommendations of the Resolution of Direction Student body nº 50 of the National Agency of Sanitary Monitoring - ANVISA. The objective was to know the flow of materials in the Central office of Materials and Sterilization in the Basic Units of Health in the city of Chapecó. This study if it characterized as a research of field, quanti-qualitative and descriptive. A lack how much to the flow of materials in the destined area was verified the sterilization of materials and absence of barrier between the dirty area and clean area. Of the searched units all used greenhouses and/or sterilizers for the process of sterilization and in only 8% of the sample the flow of materials follow the recommendations of the fiscalizador and regulamentador agency. One concludes that great part of the UBS is not adjusted to the correct flow of the materials in the areas destined to the sterilization of substances, mainly for inadequate the physical structure and the lack of qualification of the involved professionals in the operating process of sterilization next to the City, what it strengthens the necessity of continued education.
