O presente artigo tem por finalidade identificar as relações entre terrorismo islâmico e globalização, especialmente após o atentado terrorista do dia 11 de setembro de 2001, nos Estados Unidos. Nesse sentido, serão analisados alguns aspectos do processo de globalização que contribuíram para o crescimento do terrorismo islâmico no mundo atual e, por conseguinte, para o desenvolvimento de um estado psíquico de medo diante da insegurança que marca a sociedade global de risco no séc. XXI.
Resumo Inglês:
The purpose of this article is to identify the links between Islamic terrorism and globalization, especially after the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 in the United States. Therefore, we will analyze some aspects of the globalization process that have contributed to the growth of Islamic terrorism in the world today and, thus, the development of a psychic state of fear in the face of the insecurity that marks the risk society in the 21st century.
