The text addresses the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazilian prison and socio-educational systems, considering overcrowding and precarious conditions of confinement. It analyzes the measures adopted by the National Penitentiary Department and the Recommendations of the National Council of Justice to prevent the spread of the disease, presenting and problematizing official data on infection with the new coronavirus.
