Um segmento que está em constante crescimento é o público da melhor idade Com a evolução da tecnologia e a conseqüente melhoria da qualidade de vida, este público requer alternativas que venham a suprir as suas demandas. O Curso de extensão Mais e Melhor Idade, ao ser implantado vem atender esta clientela. Cumpre uma vocação natural e social importante no despertar do cidadão criativo, criador, preocupado com os rumos do indivíduo cada vez mais solitário. Dessa forma o homem solitário passa a preocupar-se com a utilização dos materiais e técnicas adormecidas ou sublimadas que precisam ser transformadas em idéias e práticas. Este artigo tem por objetivo apresentar o perfil das alunas do Curso Mais e Melhor Idade, bem como descrever as saídas de campo como favorecedoras do conhecimento de novas culturas. O Curso de Extensão Mais e Melhor Idade realiza visitas monitoradas para enriquecer aspectos históricos, geográficos, lúdicos, turísticos de lazer com base local e/ou regional. A base cultural local e regional nos permite conhecer o Universo cotidiano onde a Universidade está inserida favorecendo a ampliação da leitura do mundo e a prospecção para o futuro. O lazer cultural é o elo de ligação que 2 favorece a troca e o aprendizado de novos conhecimentos, de novas perspectivas, de criação de novos hábitos e contribui para a melhora da qualidade de vida.

A thread that is constantly growing is the public's best age with the evolution of technology and thus improve quality of life, this alternative requires that the public will meet their demands. The Extension course More and Better Citizens, to be deployed is an answer that clientele. Fulfills an important social and natural vocation in the wake of citizen creativity, creative, concerned with the direction of the individual increasingly lonely. Thus the lone man begins to worry about the use of materials and techniques dormant or sublimated that need to be transformed into ideas and practices. This article aims to present the profile of the students of the Course More and Better Citizens, as well as describing the field trips as supporters of the knowledge of new cultures. The Extension Course More and Better Age conducts guided tours to enrich historical, geographical, recreational, leisure-based tourist site and / or regional level. The local and regional cultural base allows us to know the universe everyday where the University is part favoring the expansion of reading and exploring the world for the future. Leisure is the cultural link that promotes exchange and learning new knowledge, new perspectives, creating new habits and contributes to improved quality of life.
