Este artigo tem por objetivo discutir questões de gênero na Teoria Queer, analisando as personagens Ennis Del Mar e Jack Twist, da obra “O Segredo de Brokeback Mountain†(2006) de Annie Proulx, bem como o ambiente hostil em que estão expostos. Tomaremos como fundamentação teórica básica Foucault e sua História da Sexualidade (1984, 1985, 2003) e Buttler, com a obra Problemas de Gênero: feminismo e subversão da identidade (2003).
QUEER THEORY IN GENDER AND IDENTITY DISCUSSION IN ANNIE PROULX
This article aims to discuss issues of gender in Queer Theory, analyzing the characters Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, from Brokeback Mountain (2006), by Annie Proulx, as well as the hostile environment in which they are exposed. We will take as theoretical background Foucault and his History of Sexuality (1984, 1985, 2003) and Butler, with the work Gender Trouble: Feminism and the subversion of identity (2003).
