Em 1957, o Centro Interamericano de Vivienda y Planeamiento (CINVA) promoveu, dentro de seu curso regular, um projeto no bairro de Siloé, na cidade de Cali. Dentro dos estudos desenvolvidos pela instituição colombiana, Siloé ocupa um lugar de destaque, inserindo-se em um contexto mais amplo de crescimento das cidades latino-americanas e do surgimento de assentamentos urbanos precários. O presente artigo toma como estudo de caso as atividades desenvolvidas em Siloé, focando-se no fator humano presente no projeto: tanto a trajetória dos profissionais participantes quanto a relação entre os técnicos e a comunidade durante o curso.
In 1957, the Inter-American Housing and Planning Center (CINVA) carried out a project in the neighborhood of Siloé, in the city of Cali, as part of its regular training program. Among the studies developed by the Colombian institution, Siloé holds a prominent position, framed within the context of the growth of Latin American cities and the emergence of precarious urban settlements. This article examines the case of the activities carried out in Siloé, focusing on the human dimension of the project: the trajectories of the participating professionals and the relationship between the technical team and the community during the course.
