O GC foi submetido a orientações verbais, o GAP utilizou o jogo Não deixe a vovó cair e o GAS recebeu as duas intervenções.

Objective: To verify the effectiveness of a game format application in the knowledge of the elderly regarding the prevention of falls at home. Method: Randomized clinical trial with two-stage evaluation: pre and post intervention. Forty-two elderly people were allocated to three groups: control (CG), application (GAP) and association (GAS). A questionnaire was designed to assess the knowledge of the elderly. The CG was submitted to verbal instructions, the GAP used the game Do not let grandma fall and the GAS received both interventions. For the comparison between groups the ANOVA test was used. The post-intervention change in knowledge was calculated and the significance level set at 0.05. Results: 73.8% were women, mean age 69.7 (± 7.3) years. Only GAP and GAS showed significant improvement in the level of knowledge after the intervention. GAS showed greater change compared to the other two groups. Conclusion: The groups that used the application improved the level of knowledge about fall prevention at home highlighted by the GAS. No difference was found between the two isolated interventions, so it is not possible to state that one is better than the other.
