Este artigo tem por objetivo o estudo das mortes dos grandes chefes-jagunços em Grande sertão: veredas. De maneira compacta, demonstra a realização do enredo, em suas várias faces e, de maneira não linear, a partir da estória romanesca ancorada no mythos da procura, nos permite realizar uma leitura arquetípica das mortes dos grandes chefes-jagunços, destacando os processos de formação do herói.
This article has as its objective the study of the deaths of the great chief-gunmen in Grande Sertão: Veredas. It demonstrates the accomplishment of the plot in its various aspects and, in non-linear fashion – starting with the Romanesque story anchored on the myths of the search, it enables us to make an archetypical reading of the deaths of the great chief-gunmen, with emphasis on the processes of formation of the hero.
