No cenário de um Brasil multicultural, que não compreende a Ãfrica além da
expansão do capitalismo e da escravidão, a Escola surge como um espaço de diálogo para
se entender a relação entre esses dois povos. Na cidade de Natal/RN, o discurso das leis
vem, paulatinamente, se tornando realidade através do esforço de instituições
comprometidas com a formação de alunos cidadãos. Este artigo traz algumas
considerações sobre as referidas iniciativas, com o objetivo de demonstrar que, para surtir o
efeito esperado, as leis sociais não podem ficar apenas a cargo das instâncias
governamentais, e sim contar com parcelas da sociedade que auxiliem na missão de
implantá-las significativamente.
In the backdrop of a multicultural Brazil, who does not understand Africa and the
expansion of capitalism and slavery, the school appears as a space for dialogue to
understand the relationship between these two peoples. In the city of Natal, the discourse of
the law comes, gradually, becoming a reality through the efforts of institutions committed to
the formation of a student citizen. This article offers some considerations on these initiatives
with the aim of demonstrating that to have the effect expected, the social laws may not only
be the responsibility of government bodies and yes, count parts of society to assist in the
mission to deploy them in a meaningful way.
