O objetivo deste trabalho é o de discutir as representações que alguns professores-leitores e, também, tradutores têm da tradução em diferentes contextos. Concepções de leitura, sentido, autoria e originalidade implicam a forma de recepção e circulação da tradução em lugares específicos, já que é nas vozes do leitor e do tradutor que se observam a tensão e o conflito que o “entre-lugar” das línguas pode provocar no sujeito, ao se posicionar como construtor e responsável por seu discurso e sua história. Os enunciadores falam a partir de um contexto de ensino superior de literaturas estrangeiras, nos Estados Unidos da América.
Resumo Inglês:
This paper aims at arguing about the representations that some professors of literature have of translation as readers and also as translators of literary texts in different contexts. Concepts as reading, meaning, authorship and originality interfere the way translation is received in specific places, since the tension and conflict observed in the reader and in the translator’s voices are a result of the “inter-language” place, situating individuals as the ones in charge of their discourse and history. The interviewees report from a higher foreign literature teaching context in the United States of America
