A “ILOGICIDADE” DE OBEDECER A DEUS: REFLEXÕES SOBRE OBEDIÊNCIA E VALOR DA VIDA A PARTIR DO SACRIFÍCIO DE ISAQUE

Como seres humanos, acostumados à lógica das coisas e situações, a ordem divina
para que Abraão sacrificasse seu filho Isaque parece totalmente ilógica e descabida. Perguntome,
então: Não haveria lógica na atitude e ordem de Deus, que “mutila” Abraão e Isaque com
a finalidade de resgatar e fortalecer a fé do patriarca e, em decorrência, dos seus seguidores
através de todos os tempos? Não haveria lógica na atitude e ordem de Deus, que “mutila”
Abraão e Isaque com a finalidade de mostrar os riscos e benefícios da obediência? Não haveria
lógica na atitude e ordem de Deus, que “mutila” Abraão e Isaque com a finalidade de mostrarlhe
e incutir-lhe o valor da vida? Creio que sim. Se assim for, estamos diante de um belíssimo
quadro pedagógico, o qual mostra a complexidade do Deus cristão. Complexidade, mas não
“ilogicidade”.

As human beings, accustomed to the logic of things and situations, the divine
command to Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac seems totally illogical and unreasonable. I
wonder, then: There was no logic in attitude and command of God that "mutilates" Abraham
and Isaac in order to rescue and strengthen the faith of the patriarch and, consequently, of his
followers through all time? There would be no logic in attitude and command of God that
"mutilates" Abraham and Isaac in order to show the risks and benefits of obedience? There
would be no logic in attitude and command of God that "mutilates" Abraham and Isaac in
order to show you and instill in him the value of life? I think so. If so, we have a wonderful
teaching picture, which shows the complexity of the Christian God. Complexity, but not
"illogicality".
