Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar os discursos que tem como tema o passado da cidade de Florianópolis e que passaram a ser acionados para alavancar o turismo na cidade durante a década de 1980, período no qual ocorreu o “boom” do turismo, e que desencadeou mudanças significativas, tanto culturais como estruturais na capital do estado de Santa Catarina. Para isto selecionamos um conjunto de notícias veiculadas pelo jornal O Estado na década de 1980. O interesse em transformar a cidade em uma rota turística fez com que o discurso açorianista fosse remodelado.
This article aims to analyze the discourses whose theme is the past of the city of Florianopolis and that came to be activated upon to boost tourism in the city during the 1980s, during which had occurred the “boom” of tourism, and which triggered significant changes, both cultural and structural in the state capital of Santa Catarina. For this we had selected a set of published news by THE STATE newspaper in the 1980s. The interests in transforming the city into a tourist route made the acorian speech were remodeled.
