Aceitação dos Genéricos por Utentes Idosos e seus Desafios no Mercado Farmacêutico

Introdução: O presente artigo busca tratar sobre a aceitação de medicamentos genéricos por utentes idosos e estabelecer uma reflexão sobre os desafios que são encontrados diariamente no dia a dia farmacêutico em decorrência da falta de informação entre a diferença de medicamentos genéricos e referenciais. A escolha do tema surge da necessidade de apresentar aos utentes idosos o medicamento que possui uma composição idêntica ao medicamento referência, porém, a um custo benefício maior, ou seja, preço menor. A problemática levantada fora a seguinte: quais os fatores que determinam a aceitação dos genéricos por utentes idosos? Qual a influência do poder aquisitivo de compra do idoso? Qual a principal diferença entre os produtos genéricos e referenciais? Objetivo: Analisar a aceitação dos medicamentos genéricos por utentes idosos. Metodologia: Esta pesquisa é uma revisão bibliográfica e literária de artigos e trabalhos publicados entre os períodos de 2010 a 2020, levando em consideração os métodos de análise dialético que busca interpretar as informações obtidas nas literaturas escolhidas. Outro método de pesquisa aplicado fora o comparativo que busca explicar os fenômenos e analisar os dados concretos levantados. Resultados e discussão: A aceitação da utilização dos medicamentos genéricos está ligada a relação de confiança entre paciente e o médico, os idosos tendem a seguir o receituário médico e buscam a compra de medicamentos referência, ainda que o custo seja alto em decorrência da relação de confiabilidade entre o utente idoso e a equipe médica. Considerações Finais: A realização do presente trabalho apresentou a aceitação dos idosos para a utilização de medicamentos genéricos, chegando a conclusão de que a aceitação está vinculada ao nível de escolaridade apresentado pelos idosos e o medo de não haver resultados efetivos com a medicação.

This article seeks to deal with the acceptance of generic drugs by elderly users and to establish a reflection on the challenges that are encountered daily in the daily pharmaceutical routine due to the lack of information between the difference between generic and reference drugs. The choice of the theme arises from the need to present to elderly users the medicine that has an identical composition to the reference medicine, however, at a higher cost benefit, that is, a lower price. The problem raised was the following: what are the factors that determine the acceptance of generics by elderly users? What is the influence of the purchasing power of the elderly? What is the main difference between generic and reference products? Objective: To analyze the acceptance of generic drugs by elderly users. Methodology: This research is a bibliographic and literary review of articles and works published between the periods of 2010 to 2020, taking into account the methods of dialectical analysis that seeks to interpret the information obtained in the chosen literature. Another research method applied was the comparative that seeks to explain the phenomena and analyze the concrete data raised. Results and discussion: The acceptance of the use of generic drugs is linked to the relationship of trust between the patient and the doctor, the elderly tend to follow the medical prescription and seek the purchase of reference drugs, even though the cost is high due to the relationship of reliability between the elderly user and the medical team. Final Considerations: The present study showed the acceptance of the elderly for the use of generic drugs, reaching the conclusion that acceptance is linked to the level of education presented by the elderly and the fear of not having effective results with the medication
