Trata-se de uma revisão teórica acerca da adolescência, através de um resgate histórico de como as questões relativas a essa fase vem sendo construídas nas sociedades, focando-se os aspectos relevantes socioculturais, políticos e psico-afetivos. Tivemos como objetivo, identificar na literatura elementos para um melhor entendimento quanto às particularidades e curiosidades dessa fase da vida. Depreende-se da abordagem sobre o tema que o adolescente requer uma atenção cuidadosa e, sobretudo, afetiva por parte dos adultos com os quais convivem, considerando a vulnerabilidade de sua conduta e a necessidade de afirmação.
This is a theoretical review about adolescence, through a history survey on how this stage has been built on societies, focusing its sociocultural, political, psychological or emotional aspects. We had as objective the identification of elements in literature for a better understanding of the features and curiosities of this stage of life. It is perceived from the approach on the subject that the adolescent requires a careful and, above all, affective attention from the adults with whom they live, considering the vulnerability of their conduct and the need for affirmation.
