Segundo Marcuschi(1991), as perguntas do tipo sim-não podem restringir as alternativas de respostas, mas não impedem respostas com variações notáveis. Este trabalho consiste num levantamento das respostas airmativas e suas variações no falar do fortalezense. Os resultados empíricos evidenciam que a preferência é pelo uso do item lexical “ser”, seguido da repetição do verbo da pergunta, em vez do sim e de outros usos.

According to Marcuschi(1991), yes-no questions may constrain alternatives of answers, but do not impede answers with notable variations. This work consists of a survey of afirmative responses and their variations in the spoken language of Fortaleza.The empirical results show that there is a preference for the use of the lexical item BE -“ser”, followed by the repetition of the verb in the question instead of yes and other uses
