Resumo Inglês:

OBJECTIVE: To map studies that focused on the effects of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic on the mental health, well-being, self-perception of aging, and intergenerational relationships of older adults, and how ageism affected these psychosocial variables in this population during the pandemic.
METHODS: We will use the Joanna Brings Institute (JBI) methodology and search for indexed literature published in English, Portuguese, and Spanish in 12 databases. Two authors will independently screen titles, abstracts, and full texts according to the following eligibility criteria: studies that focused on samples of older adults (minimum age 60 years old), considering community-dwelling older adults, and studies using (quantitative designs, whether cross-sectional or longitudinal). In addition, at least one variable and its relationship with the COVID-19 pandemic must be presented in the study.
RESULTS: The results will be presented in a tabular format with a narrative summary.
