Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar as relações entre esporte e política, aqui entendidas como pautadas por múltiplas articulações e mediações. A pesquisa tem como base uma etnografia centrada em situações e eventos esportivos na cidade de São Paulo, e também na atuação de agentes políticos ligados a diversos setores da prefeitura, com ênfase nos representantes da Secretaria Municipal de Esportes, Lazer e Recreação (SEME). A partir da observação e apreensão dos variados sentidos atribuídos pelo poder público à prática do skate e do futebol, vislumbra-se problematizar e compreender o processo de construção de um conceito político de esporte.
This article aims to analyze the relationship between sport and politics, here understood as guided by multiple articulations and mediations. The research is based on an ethnography focused on situations and sporting events in the city of São Paulo, and also in the actions of politicians agents linked to various sectors of the city hall, with emphasis on representatives of the Municipal Secretary of Sports, Leisure and Recreation (SEME). From observation and seizure of multiple meanings attributed by the Government, it is intended discuss and understand the process of building a political concept of sport.
