Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar se a instalação da agroindústria canavieira corroborou com o crescimento e desenvolvimento dos municípios de Moreira Sales e Nova Londrina, no Paraná, que apresentam uma situação socioeconômica (IDH) muito díspar. Para tanto, averígua-se o impacto das agroindústrias na orientação produtiva agropecuária, na dinâmica populacional e ocupacional, na relação com outras atividades econômicas, nas receitas correntes e próprias e nas despesas orçamentárias dos municípios. A partir da revisão bibliográfica e do uso de dados secundários, observa-se que a agroindústria canavieira contribui com o crescimento econômico de ambas as localidades, ao passo que o desenvolvimento é influenciado pela eficiente alocação dos recursos públicos.
This work aims to analyze whether the installation of the sugarcane agribusiness corroborated with the growth and development of the municipalities of Moreira Sales and Nova Londrina, in Paraná, which present a very different socioeconomic situation (HDI). To this end, the impact of agroindustries on the agricultural productive orientation, on population and occupational dynamics, on the relationship with other economic activities, on current and own revenues and on budgetary expenditures of the municipalities is investigated. From the bibliographic review and the use of secondary data, it can be seen that the sugarcane agribusiness contributes to the economic growth of both locations, while development is influenced by the efficient allocation of public resources.
