Resumo Português:

Prática não meramente biológica, a amamentação caracteriza-se como um evento
de relevância na vida de uma mulher. Ao longo dos anos, o que era uma atividade
meramente fisiológica, ganhou destaque dentro da sociedade e hoje órgãos de
saúde mobilizam-se em prol da iniciativa do aleitamento materno. Dessa forma, este
estudo pretende conhecer e analisar os fatores mais relevantes que permeiam a
prática do aleitamento materno sob a perspectiva teórico-prática dos diferentes
estudos presentes na literatura. Essa revisão demonstrou que conhecer o universo
que circunda a prática da amamentação é fator imprescindível para a elaboração de
metodologias que venham fortalecer e estimular o hábito desse exercício entre as
mães.

Resumo Inglês:

Practice not merely biological, breastfeeding is characterized as an event of
significance in the life of a woman. Over the years, which was a purely physiological
activity, was highlighted in today's society and health agencies are mobilizing in
support of the initiative of breastfeeding. Thus, this study seeks to examine and
analyze the most relevant factors that permeate the practice of breastfeeding from
the perspective of different theoretical and practical studies in the literature. This
review has shown that understanding the universe that surrounds the practice of
breastfeeding is an essential factor for the development of methodologies that will
strengthen and encourage the habit of exercise among the mothers.
