A doença de Alzheimer é responsável por 60% dos quadros demenciais no mundo, impactando mais de 35 milhões de pessoas, em sua maioria a população idosa acima dos 65 anos. A doença prejudica não somentea memória, mas também habilidades cognitivas e o controle emocional do paciente. Os desafios não são enfrentados somente por aqueles que contém a doença, a família também sofre muito desgaste com o problema. Dessa forma, com o crescimento de dispositivos portáteis e acessíveis, o presente trabalho visa apresentar um aplicativo, denominado Alzheimer Helper, que auxilie tanto um paciente de Alzheimer, quanto sua família, a lidar com a doença, de forma que seja possível que o paciente desenvolva sua cognição, treine sua memória e evite a dependência funcional.

Alzheimer's disease is responsible for 60% of dementia in the world, affecting more than 35 million people, mostly the elderly population over 65 years old. The disease impairs not only memory, but also cognitive skills and emotional control of the patient. Those who contain the disease are not only ones to face this challenge; the family also suffers a lot of wear and tear with the problem. Thus, with the growth of portable and accessible devices, this work aims to present an application named Alzheimer Helper, which helps both an Alzheimer's patient and his family to deal with the disease, so that it is possible for the patient to develop his cognition, train their memory and avoid functional dependence.
