ANÁLISE DA DEMANDA POR ESTACIONAMENTO NA ÁREA ADMINISTRATIVA DA UEM – O USO DO ARCMAP

O aumento constante da quantidade de veículos em áreas urbanas gera diversos problemas, causando a deterioração da qualidade de vida dos seus habitantes. Um dos problemas advindo do crescente número de automóveis é a saturação das áreas de estacionamento. O mesmo acontece em um espaço universitário, com a falta de estacionamento se agravando pelo aumento da comunidade universitária. Neste contexto, o artigo trata da problemática do estacionamento no Câmpus Sede da Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM), focando a parte antiga deste, que inclui, principalmente, a administração e serviços diversos. O objetivo foi a análise da situação geral dos estacionamentos existentes, apresentando o diagnóstico da região quanto às áreas disponíveis, quantidade e distribuição das vagas, tipo de veículo utilizado, bem como, avaliação da ocupação. Na metodologia consta a aplicação de um Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG) e uma pesquisa com os respectivos usuários permanentes dos estacionamentos. Constatou-se que uma grande parcela dos reais utilizadores dos estacionamentos é de funcionários (70%), que diariamente se deslocam à UEM e permanecem estacionados 8h por dia, e que a maioria dos inquiridos utiliza o automóvel (74%).

The steady increase in the vehicles quantity in urban areas creates several problems, causing the deterioration of the quality of life for its inhabitants. One of the problems that has occurred from the increasing number of cars is the saturation of the parking areas. Thus, the same happens on a college campus where the lack of parking lot has been worsening with the increase of temporary users (students, external community) who make use of parking areas, penalizing employees and professors, permanent users of this infrastructure element. In this context, this article discusses the problematic of parking at the Campus of the Universidade Estadual de Maringá (State University of Maringá), focusing on its old part, which includes mainly the administration and diverse services. The objective was to analyze the general situation of existing parking lots, presenting the diagnosis of the region in relation to the areas available, amount and distribution of parking plots. The methodology was consisted of the application of a Geographic Information System (GIS), and a survey with its permanent parking lots users. It was verified that the massive amount of real parking lot users is done by staff members (70%), those who daily move to University and remain parked 8 hours per day, and that most of the requested use the vehicle (74%).
