O objetivo do estudo visa analisar as exportações de milho em grão do Estado de Mato Grosso no perÃodo compreendido entre 2001 a 2010, com o intuito de verificar se houve acréscimo ou decréscimo nas exportações do cereal. Para tanto, utilizou-se da metodologia de pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa. Em seguida foram realizadas as coletas de dados secundários obtidos no Ministério de Desenvolvimento, Indústria e Comércio Exterior – MDIC. Os resultados revelam que as exportações do Estado evoluÃram no decorrer do perÃodo investigado e ele foi considerado como o principal exportador de milho em grão do paÃs desde 2008 superando, portanto, o Estado do Paraná. Infere-se que a exportação de milho em grão de Mato Grosso possui potencial para continuar expandindo tanto em volume quanto em valor exportado, uma vez que têm muita aceitabilidade no mercado externo, mais especificamente em Taiwan, Arábia Saudita, Iêmem e Espanha.
The aim of this study is to analyze grain corn exports of the State of Mato Grosso in the period 2001 to 2010, with the aim of verifying any increase or decrease in the exports of cereal. For this purpose, we used methodology descriptive research with quantitative approach. Then we carried out the collecting secondary data obtained from the Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade – MDIC. The results show that exports of the state have evolved during the analysis period and he was regarded as the main exporter of grain corn in the country since 2008 overcoming, so the state of Parana. It is inferred that the export of grain corn from Mato Grosso has the potential to continue expanding in both volume and value of exports, since it has a lot of acceptance in foreign markets, specifically in Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Spain.
