Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de uma inspeção visual realizada em uma edificação residencial localizada no agreste pernambucano, cujo objetivo foi investigar a ocorrência de manifestações patológicas e determinar possíveis causas, origens e mecanismos do aparecimento dos sintomas apresentados. Algumas das manifestações patológicas encontrados em edificações decorrem da presença de água por percolação indesejada desse fluido na estrutura. Umas apresentam apenas problemas estéticos, mas outras podem provocar problemas estruturais quando se agravam. Através de uma inspeção visual, pôde-se então descrever a edificação em estudo (características gerais), relatar seu histórico (tempo de conclusão da obra e aparecimento das manifestações patológicas) e conhecer os sintomas apresentados (com relatório fotográfico). A partir daí, foram avaliados quais os prováveis mecanismos, origens e as causas que levaram às consequências dos problemas encontrados. Ao analisar esse caso, foi constatado descolamento de cerâmicas no pavimento exposto às intempéries, manchas de infiltração e eflorescências formando as “estalactites” pelo acúmulo de sais do concreto da estrutura. Os resultados mostraram que os problemas foram devidos provavelmente à infiltrações, expansão por umidade das placas cerâmicas e processo de lixiviação, que provocaram as manifestações patológicas.
This paper presents the results of a visual inspection performed in a residential building located in rural Pernambuco, whose objective was to investigate the occurrence of pathological manifestations and determine possible causes, origins and mechanisms of popped-ment of the symptoms presented. Some of pathological manifestations found in buildings arising from the presence of undesired water seepage fluid in the structure. Some have only cosmetic problems, but others can cause structural problems when worsen. By visual inspection, one could then describe the building under study (general characteristics), report your history (time of completion of the work and appearance of pathological manifestations) and know the symptoms presented (photo-report). From there, we evaluated what the likely mechanisms, origins and causes that led to the consequences of the problems encountered. In analyzing this case, it was found detachment of the exposed ceramic flooring weathering, infiltration stains and efflorescence forming the "stalactites" by the structure of concrete accumulation of salts. The results showed that problems were probably due to leakage, moisture expansion of the tiles and leaching process, which caused the pathological.
