The present work deals with the description of the general and microscopic characters of the wood of Grevillea robusta A. Cunn, being provided photomicrographs and photographs in electronic microscopic. Multiple radial and tangential pores were found, associated to the parenchyma bands, forming garlands between the rays; rays homogeneous to weakly heterogeneous, uni and multisseries; non-septate libidoform fibers; radial intercellular channels and occasional spinal macules. The constituent elements were evaluated in relation to the position inside the tree (base and top) and inside the disc (near the bark and near the marrow)
