The present objective in this work is the study of the wood antomy of Acacia plumosa Lowe. The anatomical structure presents semi-diffuse porosity, vascular elements of very short length in short, simple perforation plates, ornate and alternate intervessel pits, axial parenchyma paranchyma vasicentric and marginal crystalline, homogenous and commonly bisseriate rays and septate libriform fibers.
The presence of axial intercellular channels and cellular channels in the radial structure in great taxonomic immortance. This latter character was unknown to the genre. The anatomy of the wood indicates that the species under study can be classified in the series Vulgares Benth., Which roughly corresponds to the subgenus Aculeiferum Vassal.
