The woods of Aspidosperma australe Müll are described . Arg., Aspidosperma polyneuron Müll. Arg. and Rauwolfia sellowii Müll. Arg., Based on samples collected in the province of Missiones, Argentina. The three species resembled the most important anatomical characters mentioned in the reading for the family Apocynaceae . Aspidosperma australe is distinguished by its homogeneous rays, which are mostly unisseriate. Aspidosperma polyneuron presents predominantly bisseriate rays and vessels with sclerosed linden. In Rauwolfia sellowii broader rays occur and no lime trees are seen in pots.
