The general, macroscopic and microscopic characteristics of the wood of arch-wood ( Guarea Lessoniana A. Juss.) Are described and quantitative and stereological data of the anatomical structure are presented. The description of the wood coincides in the most important characters with the literature references for the genus. There was also great structural similarity with the Argentinean species Guarea pohlii C. DC. and G. spiciflora A. Juss.
