The present work describes the anatomical structure of the wood of Xylosma tweedianum (Clos) Eichl. Quantitative and histometric data of the secondary xylem are provided, as well as illustrations of the woody tissue. The main characteristics observed correspond to that described in the literature for the family Flacourtiaceae and genus Xylosma . It is worth noting the simple perforation plates, the absence of axial parenchyma, the markedly heterogeneous rays, the libriform fibers and the presence of very long vascular elements, with spiral thickenings.
