O presente artigo objetiva fazer um panorama do oferecimento de disciplinas de escrita de sinais em cursos de Licenciatura em Letras Libras oferecidos em Instituições públicas e privadas de Ensino Superior do Brasil (IES). A intenção aqui não é investigar ou analisar como se dá a prática de ensino e os resultados de aprendizagem da escrita de sinais, mas traçar um desenho dos contextos de oferecimento do referido componente curricular nas licenciaturas em Letras Libras. Inicialmente, achamos importante verificar a quantidade de cursos de Licenciatura em letras Libras no Brasil, distribuídos pelas cinco regiões do país entre instituições públicas e privadas e considerando a modalidade (presencial ou EaD). Com base nesses dados, observamos quantas instituições oferecem a disciplina, em qual semestre (período letivo), o(s) componente(s) oferecido(s) e a carga- -horária disponibilizada para a escrita de sinais. Por fim, verificaremos, a partir das ementas das disciplinas constantes nos Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos, quais conteúdos relacionados à escrita de sinais são indicados para o tratamento em sala de aula. Vale mencionar que nem todos os cursos disponibilizam as ementas para consultas públicas. Desse modo, os dados aqui tratados referem-se às ementas a que tivemos acesso.
This article aims to provide an overview of the provision of sign writing disciplines in undergraduate courses in Libras Letras offered at public and private Higher Education Institutions in Brazil (IES). The intention here is not to investigate or analyze how teaching practice and the results of learning sign writing take place, but to draw a picture of the contexts in which the aforementioned curriculum component is offered in undergraduate courses in Letras Libras. Initially, we found it important to verify the number of undergraduate courses in Libras Letras in Brazil, distributed across the five regions of the country, between public and private institutions, and considering the modality (in person or distance education). Based on these data, we observe how many institutions offer the discipline, in which semester (academic period) the component(s) is(are) offered and the workload available for writing signs. Finally, we will verify, from the syllabus of the disciplines contained in the Pedagogical Projects of the courses, which contents related to the sign writing are indicated for treatment in the classroom. It is worth mentioning that not all courses offer syllabus for public consultation. In this way, the data treated here refer to the syllabus that we had access to.
