ASPECTOS DAS PRÁTICAS PEDAGÓGICAS  NO  ASILO DOS EXPOSTOS DA SANTA CASA DE MISERICÓRDIA DE SÃO PAULO, 1902-­1950

Este artigo analisa as práticas pedagógicas na escola do Asilo dos Expostos da Santa Casa de
Misericórdia de São Paulo. Esta Instituição fez parte do processo de recolhimento e assistência
à criança abandonada na cidade de São Paulo durante os quase duzentos anos de existência.
Seguindo esta perspectiva buscamos detalhar as práticas pedagógicas ministradas a essas crianças
na escola existente no interior da Instituição. As fontes de pesquisa são, basicamente, os Relatórios
da Mordomia,  escritos  pelos  administradores  do Asilo,  os mordomos  dos  expostos. Porém,
outras fontes primárias são analisadas como jornais, cadernos, anuários de ensino e legislação
educacional na perspectiva de entender a política de assistência à infância em São Paulo.

This article analyzes the pedagogicals practices at the school in the Asylum of the Displayed of
São Paulo Santa Casa de Misericórdia. This institution took part in the process of guarding and
protecting the abandoned children in the city of  São Paulo during almost two hundred years.
According to the perspective we try to detail the pedagogical practices wich were applied  to
these children from the scholl inside the instituiton. The sources of  this research were, basically,
the Reports of  the Fridge Benefits written by the managers of  the Asylum, the exposed’s butlers.
However,  other  primaries  sources  are  analysed  like:  newspapers,  notebooks,  year­books  of
instruction, education legislation in the perspective of understanding the policy concerning the
assistance to childhood in São Paulo.
