O estudo objetiva investigar a percepção do enfermeiro na Estratégia Saúde da Família acerca da atenção à saúde do homem e das ações desenvolvidas para a implementação da mesma. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa mediatizada pela pesquisa-ação. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida em um Centro de Saúde da Família pertencente ao município de Sobral- CE com os enfermeiros que atuam na Estratégia Saúde da Família e concordaram em participar da pesquisa. Para obtenção das informações,houve quatro encontros com atividades de acordo com as necessidades levantadas pelo grupo: aplicação da entrevista, discussão em grupo, anotações de campo, atividades educativas e avaliação final da mudança de conhecimento através de rodas de conversa. A pesquisa foi realizada de acordo com a Resolução de n°466/2012 do Conselho Nacional de Saúde, garantindo que os princípios éticos da pesquisa fossem assegurados. Pode-se observar o pouco conhecimento dos enfermeiros em relação à Política Nacional de Atenção Integral à Saúde do Homem. Segundo o levantamento de temas geradores propostos pelos profissionais da unidade, relacionados com a saúde masculina, foi apontado como principal tema a ser abordado nas intervenções: a política de prevenção ao câncer de próstata. Os resultados reforçam a relevância de desenvolver ações de educação em saúde para a população masculina, visto que a demanda do sexo masculino no serviço de saúde é precária e, embora os profissionais já tenham ouvido falar sobre essa política, é grande a necessidade de conhecer mais sobre o tema em debate objetivando a mobilização dessa população.
The objective of this study was to investigate the perception of the nurse in the Family Health Strategy on men’s health care and the actions developed for its implementation. This was a qualitative approach study mediatized through action research. The study was developed at a Family Health Center belonging to the municipality of Sobral, Ceará, with nurses who perform in the Family Health Strategy and agreed to participate in the study.To obtain data, there were four meetings with activities according to the needs raised by the group: application of interviews, group discussion, field notes, educational activities and final assessment on the exchange of knowledge through chat groups.The study was conducted according to Resolution #466/2012 from the National Health Council, guaranteeing that the ethical principles of the study were ensured. It was possible to observe that the nurses had little knowledge regarding the National Policy of Men’s Integral Health Care.According to the analysis of generating themes proposed by the professionals from the unit concerning men’s health, the main theme to be addressed in the interventions was identified as: Policy on the prevention of prostate cancer. The results strengthen the relevance of developing educational in health actions for the male population, since the demand from men in health service is precarious and, although the professionals have already heard of this policy, it is highly necessary to know more on the theme in debate with the objective of mobilizing this population.
