Atitudes de graduandos sobre a BNCC, importância da química e os futuros enfrentamentos educacionais

A Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) é um importante documento de referência para os currículos escolares e que sugere mudanças no processo de ensinoaprendizagem. Dessa forma, o presente trabalho buscou identificar: a) o conhecimento de graduandos de um Curso de Licenciatura em Química sobre a BNCC; b) as suas atitudes pessoais sobre a importância da Química; c) as crenças sobre o conhecimento geral da comunidade leiga sobre Química; e d) os enfrentamentos educacionais esperados por esses futuros profissionais. O método usado para coleta de dados foi a aplicação de questionários com perguntas fechadas e abertas, e a análise e discussão foi realizada a partir do método de análise de conteúdo. Como resultado pode-se verificar: a) o pouco conhecimento sobre a BNCC e a ausência de discussões no ambiente universitário sobre o tema; b) atitudes pessoais positivas sobre Química; c) atitudes negativas sobre o conhecimento da comunidade leiga sobre Química; e d) atitude negativas quanto às expectativas para osfuturos enfretamentos profissionais. Assim, concluiu-se que os graduandos possuem importante conhecimento acerca da percepção da comunidade em geral sobre a Química e também que conseguem identificar as mudanças necessárias no ensino desta ciência. Tais mudanças são tratadas no texto da BNCC, porém o documento não é familiar aos alunos, o que indica a necessidade de proporcionar mais espaço para as discussões das políticas educacionais durante a formação inicial de professores.

The National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) is an important reference document for school curricula and suggests changes in the teaching-learning process. Thus, the present work aimed to determine: (a) the Chemistry undergraduate students’ knowledge about the BNCC; (b) their personal attitudes about the importance of Chemistry; (c) their beliefs about the layperson’s knowledge on Chemistry, and (d) their expectations about educational issues as future teachers. The method used for data collection was the application of questionnaires with open-ended and closed-ended questions, and analysis and discussion was carried out using the content analysis method. As for the results, it showed that: (a) Chemistry undergraduate students have little understanding about the BNCC and that the subject is not being discussed at the university; (b) the students have positive attitudes towards the importance of Chemistry; (c) the students have negative attitudes towards the beliefs that layperson understand the importance of Chemistry; and (d) the students have negative attitudes and expectation towards future educational issues. Therefore, it was concluded that students had important knowledge about the perception of the community in general about Chemistry and also that they can identify the necessary changes in the teaching of this Science; these changes are dealt with in the text at BNCC, but the document is not familiar to students, which indicates the need to provide more space for discussion on educational policies during initial teaching education.
